Accessibility Statement – Lamett Europe nv

Introduction

Lamett Europe NV strives to make digital applications accessible to everyone, in accordance with the law of July 19, 2018, concerning the accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public organizations.

Scope

This statement concerns the websites listed below and was drafted on May 28, 2025.

Compliance Status

These websites are partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA, due to the non-conformities and exceptions listed below.

Non-accessible Content

The following elements are currently not fully accessible:

  • Some titles are not accessible to screen readers.

  • Some elements with fixed coding require horizontal and vertical navigation on laptops and desktops with small screens.

  • Menu structures with the "arrow" icon in front are not suitable for screen readers.

  • Photos, buttons, and icons lack descriptions or names.

  • The background color is not specified everywhere.

  • Lists are incorrectly categorized as menu navigation.

  • The image ratios of certain visuals are not suitable for scaling on specific devices.

  • Buttons and redirects lack valid links.

  • Empty title fields cause confusion for screen readers.

  • PDF documents are not sufficiently readable for screen readers.

  • Text displayed in images is not accessible.

  • Function names are not specific enough, leading to duplicate content.

  • Images lack ALT text and descriptions.

Non-accessibility Due to the Nature of the Product

Some parts of the website are not accessible to certain groups due to the nature of the product.

Detailed Product Photos

A floor is chosen based on color, appearance, and texture. Blind, visually impaired, and colorblind individuals may experience difficulties distinguishing between collections and shades. With the help of filters, we try to support this group, but a specific color or shade is very subjective and therefore difficult to describe according to a standard.

Installation Instructions

Photos, videos, and instructions for floor installation contain visual guidance aimed at supporting the installer (professional/DIY enthusiast) during installation. These elements are almost impossible to convey accurately and are therefore not available to blind and visually impaired individuals. Furthermore, we strongly discourage blind and visually impaired individuals from installing floors themselves due to the dangers associated with cutting and sawing and the resulting consequences.

Reasons for Non-compliance

The mentioned elements result from the technical limitations of the website and incomplete input of descriptions, ALT texts, and translations.

Already Modified

We work daily to improve our website and, consequently, make it accessible to everyone. The following points have already been addressed:

Flashing Images

The various websites do not contain flashing images. In instructional videos and campaign videos, we also opt for calm images with smooth transitions.

Moving Elements

The websites do not contain moving elements to provide a calm experience for individuals with fine motor skills.

Font and Button Sizes

We ensure that all text is always sufficiently large and readable. The buttons are also large enough to provide a pleasant experience for individuals with fine motor skills.

Color Choices and Contrasts

The brand colors of Lamett and Parquetvinyl have been carefully selected to ensure readability when these websites are viewed in grayscale.
